The Men of Yogi Flight School

Yogi Flight School is a safe place for people of every demographic to learn to nail arm balances and inversions.

Yogi Flight School is the home of a vibrant community of supportive, encouraging, and motivational individuals from all over the world.

The men of Yogi Flight School continue to inspire us each and every day to break through our own limiting beliefs that tell us, "You can't do that," and shift our mindset to, "I CAN and I WILL do that!"

They show us that no matter your gender, age, level of strength, experience with yoga, or history of physical ability, you have the power to do amazing things with your body. All you need is the right people guiding you, a strong support system, an open mind, and the willpower to keep trying.

Don't take it from me. Read on to hear from the Ninjas themselves...

Hi! My name is Isidoro. I’m a 57-year-old dental technician and before joining YFS I’d been practicing hatha yoga for 3 years.

Around Christmas of 2020, I saw a Facebook ad for YFS and bought their self-study program. I became passionate about the practice intensely and unlocked several poses in two and a half months. After this, it felt natural to upgrade my course to the YFS Full Nina package, which includes lifetime access to the course (which I already had with my previous package) AND weekly classes held over Zoom with personalized attention. I’m now able to enter (if not hold) about 85% of the 30+ arm balances and inversions taught within the course.

This is a result that leaves me incredulous and very satisfied with myself and with YFS. I attribute my success to the challenge of overcoming one’s own “presumed limitations.”

I would like to say to you, aspiring Ninjas: I did it, you can too!

My name is Paul and I’m a 58-year-old, retired carpenter that has been practicing yoga for 6 years.

I joined YFS because I love inversions and arm balances. When I do them at the end of class there is never enough time to have fun with them. Here, you can learn in your own time from a team of experts specializing in the fun poses.

I have gained a group of virtual friends from all over the world that are so encouraging, understanding, uplifting, and nonjudgmental. We also all help each other, where we are able, physically and emotionally.

It doesn't matter how strong or weak you are. It doesn't matter how inflexible you are. You are going to learn how to be humble and realize that balance is just about muscle memory and not brute force. You get to train alongside young and old - everyone has something to give to others. There is an ever-increasing community of different levels of ability here and all going in the same direction, UP. Once you learn one level of the pose there are many transitions you can go on to perfect.

If you have ever dreamt of a handstand or headstand then this is the place to learn.

It is a journey but why not do it together in a community of like-minded ninjas.

My name is Gordon, and I’m a 56-year-old fire service driver training manager who had limited experience with yoga before joining YFS.

I joined the YFS program because I wanted to become more flexible and in control of my body. Also, I wanted to be able to do a handstand, amongst other poses.

The community and interaction from Nat, Abi, and all the team are amazing!

Never let age stop you from achieving great things with your body and mind. YFS opens up many opportunities for you to become a better you.

Hi! I’m Stewart! I’m a 45-year-old software engineer and had about 10-months of experience practicing yoga before joining YFS.

I joined the YFS  free training in September 2020 simply because my regular classes weren't happening that week and it filled the gap. I signed up for the course because I expected it to be fun and the universe conspired to remove any of the reasons I had not to join!

What was I not expecting to get out of YFS? The community! I was expecting a video library and a few live classes: I got those. The real unique value comes from the awesome, inspiring, and supportive community. It's great for accountability too. I've made some good friendships - that's not something I either expected or have seen with any other course.

For the aspiring yoga ninja, my message to you is: Approach each new module with an open mind and a sense of fun. Let's fly!

My Name is Asher and I’m a 32-year-old data scientist. I've been practicing yoga on and off for about 5 years. I'm also a yoga teacher and have been teaching in my local community for about 2 years.

I joined YFS because I've always loved arm balances and inversions, but I felt like I was missing a critical foundation for how to prepare myself for success in learning new postures. It's one thing to be able to use a  great deal of effort to force your body into a shape, but it's another thing entirely to understand how to build up a posture from the ground up.

If I had to say one thing that I got out of YFS that I wasn’t expecting to, it would definitely the community! I never imagined that I would make so many relationships with yogis all around the world. The YFS community is an absolute treasure and is what keeps me involved even after completing the course.

To all the aspiring ninjas out there: Believe in yourself and in your process. Look to others for support and inspiration, but don't measure your achievements by external standards.

We are forever grateful to our members for their willingness to change the narrative that's been holding them back and for being brave enough to share their stories with the world.
